1. Scope of Application
For the rent of the hotel and rehearsal rooms of the MUSIKINSEL Rheinau these general terms and conditions apply. Our offers and confirmations are based on them.
2. Reservations and Confirmations
Guests' reservations are confirmed in writing, by either email or regular mail. With the confirmation by MUSIKINSEL the reservation becomes binding. Confirmed reservations can be amended or cancelled by both sides only in written form.
3. Rooms and Accommodations
Due to its historical and cultural value the building requires respect and consideration from all our guests in all the rooms.
The rooms listed on the confirmation, including their equipment, will be provided to the guests in good conditions during the agreed on period of time.
Smoking and cooking is strictly forbidden in the hotel and rehearsal rooms.
Guestrooms are available after 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and are to be vacated until 11 a. m. on the day of departure.
4. Number of Guests
The guest rooms will be prepared according to the confirmation. If the number of guests in a room changes the price charged for the room might be affected.
5. Special Requests / Guided Tours / etc.
For special requests, guided tours, aperitifs, etc. we need time to be prepare. Please inform us ahead of time of your requests.
6. Meals
The confirmation lists the meals included in your room rate. We cannot grant a price reduction on meals not consumed.
7. House Rules
The rules for living together are defined in detail in our House Rules. They will be provided to the guest upon request.
8. Parking and Access
Parking is reserved for the guests of the MUSIKINSEL on the mainland, behind the Staatskellerei. Please follow the sign. Equipment can be delivered directly to the house. Please request the PIN to lower the chain at the reception.
9. Down Payment and Payment Terms
Upon reservation a down payment of 30% of the total charge for the stay is required as a deposit. The remaining amount is due 30 days after departure.
The rates will be charged according to the reservation and confirmation.
The total invoice will be sent by post after the event.
Special conditions have to be agreed on in advance and are only valid if confirmed in writing.
10. Amendments and Cancellation Policy
In case of cancellation and / or amendments the MUSIKINSEL has to be informed in writing as soon as possible.
Amendments of the reservation regarding hotel rooms, rehearsal rooms or other arrangements are charged as follows:
Overnight stays with rehearsals and meals
- up to 6 months prior to arrival free of charge
- up to 90 days prior to arrival 30% (down payment)
- up to 30 days prior to arrival 50%
Individual rooms or services can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days prior to arrival.
Cancellations at a later date require full payment.
Services ordered and already rendered, like planning of a social program, tuning of instruments, meals with special requirements, etc. are charged to the full amount.
11. Liability and Damages
Guests are liable toward the MUSIKINSEL, the employees and third parties for all damages, including possible subsequent damages, caused during their stay by themselves or any third party.
MUSIKINSEL does not accept any responsibility for objects brought by guests or a third party. Guests are responsible to attain insurance at their own discretion.
12. Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction
All disputes will be governed by the law of Switzerland. The place of jurisdiction is Männedorf ZH.
